01 - Combine rolled oats, milk, cinnamon, and salt in a medium saucepan. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
02 - Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until oats are creamy and have absorbed most of the liquid.
03 - Stir in maple syrup or honey and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat.
04 - Divide the creamy cooked oats evenly between two serving bowls.
05 - Top each bowl with fresh berries and sliced banana, distributing evenly.
06 - Sprinkle chopped nuts, shredded coconut, and chia or flaxseeds over each bowl as desired.
07 - Serve immediately while warm. Optionally drizzle with additional honey or maple syrup if preferred.
